What types of counseling services do you offer?

I offer individual counseling for adults and adolescents, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach is tailored to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and person-centered techniques.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brought you to counseling, review your history, and begin to identify your goals. This is a collaborative process — there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. Think of it as a conversation, not an evaluation.

How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, and as progress is made, we may transition to biweekly or monthly meetings. The frequency is always tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Is everything I share in therapy confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. What you share in session stays between us, with very limited exceptions required by law — such as imminent danger to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult. I'll review these exceptions with you during our first session.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept many insurance plans for in-network services. For any out- of-network plans, I can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first appointment.

What are your session fees and payment options?

My standard session fee is discussed during our initial consultation. I accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on financial need — please inquire if this would be helpful for you.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling or texting my office, sending an email, or using the online booking link on my website. I do my best to respond within one business day. New clients are welcome to request a brief complimentary phone consultation before scheduling their first session.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to the full session fee. I understand that life happens — if an emergency arises, please reach out and we'll work together to find a solution.

Do you offer virtual or telehealth sessions?

Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients located in the state of Louisiana. Virtual sessions follow the same format as in-person sessions and are a convenient option for those with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or health concerns.

How do I know if counseling is right for me?

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply want to grow and understand yourself better, counseling can help. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Taking the first step is often the hardest part — and the fact that you're reading this is a great sign that you're ready to begin.
